Day 10: UK’s Longest Bike Ride. The end.

After an epic journey, the team that set off from Land’s End 10 days ago has finally arrived at John O’Groats.

They have cycled through some of the most beautiful countryside in the world but have also been cycling through days of relentless rain and aching limbs.

According to Kate the final three days through Scotland have been glorious and were it not for the more sensitive parts of the human anatomy pressing down on a bicycle seat she felt that she could have gone on and on.

It was not so great for other members of the team, however.  The outer line of the team (they were cycling two by two) crashed into each other 20 miles from John O’Groats. With all of their feet clipped into their pedals there was no time to react and take their feet out and they fell hard onto the road surface. Initially it appeared that the crash went without too much incident but an update on Monday shows that Craig may have broken his elbow.

For those of you wondering what happened to the video of days 8,9 and 10 dont worry – they will be posted over the next few days.
