Day 5: UK’s Longest Bike Ride 115 miles

Day 5 appears to have been a real slog for the riders.  Not only did the route go through one of the more boring parts of the country, with suburban dwellings merging with other suburban dwellings for over 115 miles, but they were faced with headwinds, hail and rain.  After setting off around 8am, they finally stopped cycling at 7:40pm at night.  The team is exhausted and the body parts of 40-50 year olds are wearing out.

The video attached shows you the route that they took. If you compare it to the great landscapes of Days 1, 2, 3 and 4, you will understand why the route lacked charm.  The music, however, should keep you going!
