107 miles covered, heading north from Preston, passing between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District to Gretna Green, where I hope that my wife has not eloped with one of the dozen fit cyclists doing the UK’s Longest Bike Ride with her!

Not only are the team travelling 110 miles per day on average, but they are also climbing several thousand feet per day.  Today, this included tackling Shap Summit (12,000) feet.

As scenery goes, this route looks pretty spectacular as the video below shows.

1200 feet! But still impressive. Sorry- I am too pernickety to leave it! Can’t believe that they are still cycling- every time I stop doing something I think of them still pedalling!
